Welcome to Wikka
What is Wikka?
- Wikka is a feature-rich distribution of WakkaWiki.
- Many feature additions and bug fixes have been applied to Wakka 0.1.3-dev and released for your convenience.
- If you are considering WakkaWiki, strongly consider trying Wikka. It has all the same features, but many improvements.
Main features that are new or improved in Wikka:
- Page history easily viewed in one step. (Try the "Page History" link at the bottom of the page.)
- Improved text searching.
- Admin users.
- Pages can be deleted by admins.
- Comments can be deleted by owner or admin.
- File uploading/downloading.
- Password Management.
- GUI page editor.
- Inline images.
- Page categories.
- Comments can be toggled off on invidual pages.
- Printable view defined by CSS.
- HTML insecurities patched.
- Gzip page compression.
- New formatters.
- Tables.

Alternative wiki engines to consider
- WackoWiki. Wacko has many features beyond what Wikka offers and is worthy of consideration. Although Wikka is still a good choice. ;)- WikkaRTE -- Wikka's sibling...still in the early planning stage.
